Ms Hellen Seku, a renowned champion of patriotism in Uganda has been recognized as one of the 2024 Certified 75 Uganda Development Champions-Leaders by Public Opinions, a testament to her tireless efforts in promoting national unity , love for one another , love for the country and socio-economic development.
This recognition was bestowed upon her by Buyinza Adam Luzindana, CEO of Public Opinions, acknowledging her exceptional contributions to achieving Uganda Vision 2040 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The President was equally recognized of Course as the Number One champion for Uganda ‘s Development among other leaders including the President’s Press Secretary Hajji Faruk Kirunda and Dr Diana Atwine.
As the Commissioner in charge of the National Secretariat for Patriotism Corps and also the Private Secretary in Charge of Youth Affairs to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Ms Seku has been focal in promoting Patriotism among all the people in the country.

Ms Seku expressed her views to the Public Opinion about the President’s achievements that His Excellency President Museveni is dedicated to promoting patriotism, nationalism, and pan-Africanism, recognizing their vital role in Uganda’s social-economic transformation.
Through initiatives like the National Secretariat for Patriotic Corps, established in 2009, Ms Seku said the President has fostered patriotism among post-primary and tertiary students, empowering them to become resourceful, responsible, and resilient citizens.
“The President’s efforts aim to inculcate values of loyalty, discipline, and sacrifice, essential for Uganda’s growth and prosperity. By emphasizing patriotism, Museveni encourages Ugandans to prioritize national interests, defend the country, and contribute to its development”, said Ms Seku.

She added that President Museveni ‘s commitment is grounded in the 1995 Constitution, which mandates patriotism and loyalty from all citizens.

By promoting patriotism, she said Museveni seeks to create a united, prosperous Uganda, where citizens work together for national interest and social cohesion. This vision is reflected in his administration’s focus on socio-economic transformation, ensuring that Ugandans benefit from their nation’s progress.
