Hoima City MP tips Bunyoro students on leadership.

Nyakato Asinansi the Woman MP for Hoima City has encouraged students from Bunyoro to embrace sacrifice and voluntary work if they are to become good future leaders.

Nyakato made the remarks in Kampala on Saturday while addressing students at the handover and swearing in ceremony of the leaders of the students body called Kitara Students Association (KISA). The association brings together students from Bunyoro Kitara who are studying in Universities and other tertiary institutions of learning.

Nyakato who is one of the youthful vocal MPs in the eleventh Parliament but also the first opposition MP from Bunyoro region was the Chief Guest at the said function and used the occasion to tip the students on leadership. She told them that leadership is about sacrifice and volunteering hence challenging them not to expect financial rewards for whatever they do. Nyakato who joined Parliament after contesting several times encouraged students to be patient as they prepare themselves and cautioned them to avoid greed for quick things.

Nyakato also thanked the students for embracing a democratic process that saw them elect new leaders and the outgoing ones handover peacefully a culture which she said lacks in our politics.

Nyakato pledged to keep supporting these students until they achieve their objectives. She also asked them to remain united in the spirit of Bunyoro if they are to attain success.

Natamba Pascal who is the outgoing President of the Association handed over office to the new President Kisembo John who also doubles as the Guild President of Kampala International University. Kisembo pledged to expand the membership of the association and to work with all the leaders in Bunyoro to ensure that the association objectives are attained!
