King Ceasor University Marks 5th Graduation with a Vision for Technological Excellence and National Transformation!

5th May 2025, Kampala, Uganda – King Ceasor University celebrated its fifth graduation ceremony with pomp and promise, as 280 students received their academic honors in a ceremony graced by Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon. Thomas Tayebwa, and several high-profile dignitaries.

In his keynote address, Deputy Speaker Tayebwa, who also serves as Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, applauded the graduates for their discipline and resilience, encouraging them to apply the same values in their professional lives. “This success has come through sacrifice and discipline,” he said. “It is these very virtues that will empower you to transform not only your lives but those of your communities and our country.”

He commended the management of King Ceasor University for the remarkable progress they have made in establishing a reputable academic institution, noting that the university is now better positioned for continued growth. He challenged the leadership to invest in groundbreaking research and innovation to tackle pressing national and continental challenges.

Tayebwa also lauded the university’s founder, Ceasor Mulenga, for his vision and commitment to education. “It takes a generous and futuristic mindset to dedicate 27 acres of prime land in the heart of Kampala to education rather than commercial ventures,” he remarked. “This investment will benefit generations to come.”

Former Prime Minister and current Chancellor of Gulu University, Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda, praised the university’s impact on the education sector, particularly in the field of medicine. “Keep it up and train more Ugandans and international students who will serve mankind,” he urged.

Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, Minister of ICT and Chairperson of the University Council, outlined the university’s ambitious plans to integrate Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies into its curriculum. “We are positioning King Ceasor University as a technology-driven institution, aligned with the global revolution,” he said. He also revealed ongoing discussions with the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) to start postgraduate programs, including Master’s and PhD degrees.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Charity Basaza Mulenga confirmed that 224 students received bachelor’s degrees while 56 were awarded diplomas. She highlighted the university’s commitment to academic excellence through robust quality assurance, curriculum reviews, and alignment with both national priorities and global trends.

“Our gender distribution this year stands at a commendable 48% female and 52% male,” she noted. “This reflects our broader commitment to inclusivity and balanced growth in higher education.”

With continued government support and growing partnerships with other institutions, King Ceasor University is positioning itself as a hub of innovation and academic excellence, living up to its motto of shaping minds for a better tomorrow.

The event was also graced by the Arch Bishop of Kampala Archdiocese Paul Semwogerere who led the mass to celebrate the 5th graduation of King Ceaser University.
