MK Movement top committee meets, seals 2026 deal!

The top governing body of the MK Movement called the Central Committee met last evening to discuss the movement agenda ahead of 2026 elections. The top body which is comprised of eight members and is chaired by Gen Muhooxi Kainerugaba discussed a number of issues some of which are yet to be communicated to the press.

However according to our intimate sources, the meeting discussed issues of mobilization and formation of structures as the support of the movement keeps expanding.

Sources say that there has been a lot of pressure from the MK Movement supporter’s majority of whom are youth requesting to be included in the MK Movement leadership structure so that they can mobilize and so the meeting was looking at how to harness these efforts. One of the NUP leaders who declined enormity said that with the disorganization in opposition parties, MK Movement is the only hope for a peaceful transition.

Recently MK Movement held a mammoth rally in Bwizibwera – Kashari in Mbarara District which was attended by Hon Frank Tumwebaze, the Minister of Agriculture who represented Gen MK and on this rally, the youths asked Gen MK to contest for President in 2026.
