Kanungu, Uganda – February 18, 2025
Kinkizi West Member of Parliament, Hon. James Ruugi Kaberuka, has called on communities to shun sectarianism and embrace unity for social-economic transformation. His remarks came yesterday during a prayer service at Rukarara Church of Uganda, where he echoed President Yoweri Museveni’s recent appeal against divisionism during his visit to Kanungu District last week.

Hon. Kaberuka emphasized the need for religious denominations to work together, stressing that unity is essential for development in Kinkizi West. He urged believers to set aside sectarian differences and focus on electing credible leaders who can advocate for infrastructure improvements such as roads, electricity, water, schools, and health facilities without bias.
“All religions should unite and love one another as they engage in politics, ensuring that they choose leaders who will champion their interests in Parliament,” Kaberuka stated.
