The embattled former Leader of Opposition in Parliament Matthias Mpuuga has accused the Bobi Wine family of intrigue, corruption and mismanagement of the National Unity Platform.

In a statement released this afternoon in which Mpuuga responded to the NUP calls to resign, Mpuuga blamed the woes in the party for small family interests.

I commit that, I will not be deterred by small-group- family interests being peddled blur the bigger picture of how the Party is being managed without transparency, and the general mistreatment of other leaders in the party” Mpuuga said in his statement.

Mpuuga also accused party leaders for fighting him for all his tenure as a Leader to Opposition in Parliament.

“It became the official style of different party leaders to undermine my work, including hiring bloggers to abuse and insult my person” Mpuuga said in a statement.

Mpuuga also said that the National Unity Platform has a lot of corruption in its management which he said he is ready to fight!

“I am available as ever to help this young party get rid of any form of corruption from its rank and file and especially that ingrained at the base of the party” Matthias Mpuuga said in his letter.

There has been rumours that there is infighting within the National Unity Platform with various factions of the DP bloc/Suubi politicians fighting with the group led by Bobi Wine, Fred Nyanzi and Nubian lee. Mpuuga’s letter leaves the party in a bad shape.
