North Ankole Gets New Bishop, gifted with a car by Museveni!

Rt Rev Alfred Muhoozi was on Sunday consecrated and enthroned as the third Bishop of North Ankole Diocese replacing Rt Rev Stephen Namanya who has retired after serving as the Bishop since 2015.

The consecration and enthronement Service was held at Emmanuel’s Cathedral Rushere Mission Grounds in Kiruhura District.

The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, The Most Rev Dr Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu was the Main Celebrant while President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni was represented by H.E Jessica Alupo the Vice President as the Chief Guest.

The President donated a brand new Land cruiser to Bishop Alfred Muhoozi to help him in his ministerial obligations.

A car that was donated by the President to the new Bishop.

Prior to his election by the House of Bishops of the Church of Uganda sitting at Lweza Training and Conference Center on 6th March 2024, he was the Archdeacon of Kinoni Archdeaconry in North Ankole Diocese.
