Parliament is scheduled to meet with Government, the Opposition, and Human Rights Commission over the 18 missing people on Monday.
The Opposition has repeatedly accused Government of abducting its supporters in various parts of the country.
The Commission recently revealed that it had exhausted its investigations and the missing 18 persons and noted that it could have been staged by National Unity Platform.
The Leader of Opposition, Honourable Mathias Mpuuga has asked Justice Mariam Wangadya, Chairperson Uganda Human Rights Commission to ensure she investigates the whereabouts of the missing 18 persons to redeem her tainted image and prove her competence at doing her job!
“Inevitably, if the law was different, I would have demanded for her recusal given her previous bias. I want to give her a second chance to redeem her personal image and competence levels. We aren’t going to condemn someone without giving them a second chance, and chance to dispel corridor talk that the Commission is run by security agencies,” asserted Mpuuga.
