The Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Anita Annet Among has urged parents to safeguard their children and to protect the institution of family.
Among was attending Christmas celebration at Irundu Catholic Parish in Budiope East, Buyende District.
During the prayers Among emphasized the importance of safeguarding children.
He also urged parents and leaders to stand as guardians against vices that harm the family institution, and strongly discouraged child marriages.
“We need to collectively create a nurturing environment where every child can flourish” Among said.
Speaker Among is a strong champion of family values a reason she championed and spearheaded the passing of the Anti homosexuality law in the year 2023.
