The relatives of 18 missing supporters of National Unity Platform have stormed the High Court Civil Division in Kampala demanding for their immediate release.
These majority of whom are women contend that the continued incommunicado detention of their people allegedly by the agents of the government which has been sued through the Attorney General as the only respondent is unlawful , illegal and constitutes a violation of their fundamental human rights enshrined under the Constitution.
They say the governments conduct is a flagrant dereliction of their human rights obligations to respect , uphold and promote the applicants fundamental human rights and freedoms. They are seeking a compensation for breach of the applicants constitutional rights and an order for damages and punitive demanded.

The records submitted to Court on Tuesday indicate that that missing persons were arrested by security agents from different places and taken into custody and they have neither been produced in any court of law nor charged of any lawful offence.
Some of the missing persons that have been listed among the 18 include John Bosco Kibalama, John Damulira and Shafik Wangolo. The case is going to be heard on April 8th 2024 by Lady Justice Esta Nambayo.
