Seku assumes Patriotism Office, promises to fight corruption through patriotism

Ms Hellen Seku has assumed the office of the Commissioner Patriotism in the President’s Office from Brigadier General Patrick Mwesigye.

Seku, promised to ensure the gospel of patriotism reaches every Ugandan in a move aimed at strengthening the love of the country.

“Uganda is our only home therefore we must love our country, we must sacrifice for our country and be loyal. We must motivate and encourage our youth to be hardworking,” said Seku.

Seku said corruption will completely be a thing of the first if Ugandans are patriotic.

“We know that the youth are the majority and we shall use all avenues to reach out to them including social media. Beginning next month, we shall move with the President zone after zone to preach the gospel of patriotism,” explained Seku.

MK Movement Vice Chairman for central region Mr Frank Gashumba and his counterpart for Western Region Dr Balaam Baruhagara attended the event in solidarity.

Seku, who doubles as the Private Secretary on Youth Affairs to the President, thanked the President for entrusting her with the Office.
