The invincible Team Uganda crowned champions, again!

The Uganda Parliament has been crowned champions in the concluded East African Community Inter-Parliamentary Games in Kigali City, Rwanda.

Team Uganda, which was the overall defending champions retained the championship after beating every opponent that crossed it’s way.

The Team is scheduled to return home today through the Gatuna (Katuna) boarder at Kabale led by the Deputy Speaker Rt Hon Thomas Tayebwa.

Tayebwa thanked her senior, Rt Hon Anitah Annet Among, whom he said coordinated passionately the team before and during the games to ensure top-notch performance.

The 2024 games will be held in Nairobi, Kenya and Tayebwa urged the MPs who participated not to relax but to keep training to ensure they retain the championship in Kenya as well.

The games are aimed at strengthening the brotherhood of the Way African Community and Somalia is scheduled to be part of the event in Kenya after joining the community this year.
