The embattled Parliamentary Commissioner and recently suspended Vice President of the National Unity Platform Matthias Mpuuga has scoffed at the NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine that he has no power to suspend him from his role as the party’s a Vice President.

Mpuuga made the remarks this morning while appearing on the NBS TV morning breeze program discussing the current standoff in the NUP.

While responding to a question regarding his recent suspension as a Vice President, Mpuuga said that he didn’t give it any attention because it was illegal.

“I never gave it attention because it’s not founded on any legal basis of our party Constitution. I know the party constitution. I know the powers of a president. The president has powers over certain things. Suspending a vice president is not one of them” said Mpuuga.

Mpuuga also said that the party is not operating formally as an organization which he said affects its growth. He also said that Bobi Wine is working for some other forces.

“NUP being a young party, there are lots of forces tagging back and forth and I get the sense that my president is caught up in these kinds of forces. He hasn’t given in to knowing where these forces are pulling from. The party must be allowed to operate as a party not as a small kiosk” said Mpuuga!

He also said he was yet to decide whether to reconcile with his colleagues or not.

“As long as individuals realize their mistake, it’s up to them to climb down their high horse and acknowledge this was badly handled.Once that is done, my reaction subsequently will be from my heart to make choices whether I am able to carry on or not” said Mpuuga
