Kampala minister Minister Kabanda has endorsed the presidency of President Yoweri Museveni

Kampala minister Minsa Kabanda has endorsed the presidency of President Yoweri Museveni for the 2026, during a visit at the the office if the National chairman (ONC), Kyambogo.

According to the Senior Presidential advisor and coordinator of the Bazzukulu Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye who also heads ONC, a lot of issues were discussed to ensure the successful implementation of the party manifesto of this term.

“President Museveni must stay in the lane (Teri kuva ku main.) And this we ordered him. He is getting a lot of endorsements, the latest being from Minister Kabanda,” Uzeiye said.

This comes days after Vice President Major Jessica Alupo, Internal Affairs Minister Maj Gen. Kahinda Otafiire, and Defence Minister, Vincent Sempijja, signed an endorsement for President Yoweri Museveni’s 2026 candidature.

The ministers were on Saturday attending the belated youth day celebrations for Mitooma district, at Bubangizi Secondary School playground celebrated under the theme; “Unleashing the potential and role of youth in nation development.”

NRM Vice chairman Moses Kigongo already endorsed the President from ONC.

A number of retired Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) officers under veterans and local leaders from Kiruhura district have endorsed President Yoweri Museveni as the sole candidate for the 2026 presidential elections.

They included rtd Maj. Gen. Steven Kashaka, Maj. Gen. Emmanuel Burundi, Brig. Charles Rutarago, Brig. Sam Bishuba, and Brig. Sam Mwesigwa.

Others were Col Charles Barijja, Brig. Francis Kashaka and other UPDF veterans who served in the 1986 guerrilla war.
