The Patriotic League of Uganda has bought running kits worth Ushs 20 million from buganda Kingdom ahead of the Kabaka birthday run which is scheduled for 7th April 2024.
The PLU team was led by the Minister for National Guidance Hon Godffrey Kabyanga, Ministers Balaam Barugahara amd Lilian Aber who double as Vice Chairperson PLU in Western and Northern Uganda respectively, MPs David Kabanda, Dan Kimosho, Micheal Mawanda among others.
The team handed over a check of 20 million to the Katikiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga.
The Kabaka birthday run is going to
take place on 7th April 2023 and the money that will be collected will be used in the fight against HIV/AIDS
Many companies and organizations have bought running kids to participate in the run with the recently Parliament of Uganda contributing 50 million towards the same.
The Katikiro appreciated for their support towards fighting HIV/AIDs and said that Buganda Kingdom welcomes everybody who comes to join their development!
