Thousands in Masindi join Balaam in thanksgiving over Ministerial Appointment!

The newly appointed minister in charge of Youth and children Balaam Barugahara has been welcomed by a mammoth crowd in Masindi Municipality at his home coming event and thanksgiving ceremony to appreciate the President for appointing him a minister in his cabinet.

Throngs of young jubilant people were seen all over the main road from Kampala to Masindi. Balam was welcomed by thousands at River Kafu at the border of Masindi District, and these drove with him in the convoy upto Booma grounds where the rally was held!

The event was attended by senior ministers led by the Prime Minister of Uganda Rt Hon Robbina Nabbanja who was the Chief guest. Among others was Minister of Finance Hon Matia Kasaija, Fred Byamukama of works and other ministers from different regions of the country, Members of Parliament, Senior officials from the Uganda people’s Defense Forces and leaders from the Patriotic League of Uganda led by Frank Gashumba.

Balaam encouraged the young people to work hard and asked them to join government programs like the Parish Development Model as a way of fighting poverty. He also promised to work with the president to ensure that there is job creation to benefit the youths in Bunyoro region.

The local leaders in Masindi district appreciated the President for appointing their own as a minister given that they have not been having any Minister where they can Channel their problems to the cabinet since Ernest Kizza was dropped from cabinet in 2021.
