Both Chelsea and Manchester United have the financial muscle to meet Messi’s astronomical needs. Manchester United are currently involved in a tussle with Messi’s great rival, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo is highly expected to leave the club in January following a fallout with Erik ten Hag. The club is also short on forwards, given Anthony Martial’s fitness issues, hence they will likely need to get Messi.
