M7 appreciates security forces for vigilance during the NAM, G77 Summits

The Commander In Chief (CIC) of the armed forces of Uganda, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, has appreciated the professionalism and vigilance of the security forces especially during the recently concluded Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the G77+China Summits.

At a function held yesterday at Kololo airstrip where several security forces attended, Museveni said that stability and peace does not come by accident but rather sacrifice by patriotic citizens who put the country before self.

“It’s essential to recognise that our ability to manage and celebrate this achievement is mainly due to the NRM’s doctrine on security. The success can be attributed in part to our strategy of army building, which emphasises patriotism over careerism. We don’t join the army or police for money! We are soldiers and peace officers first and foremost because of our love for Uganda. This doctrine has allowed us to recruit large numbers,” noted Museveni on his official X social media platform.

Uganda successfully hosted the summits which attracted several delegates and heads of State without any security incident.
