Mammoth Crowd Declare Support as Moses Ali Endorses Muhoozi’s Presidential Bid

The Second Deputy Prime Minister General Moses Ali has joined the list of powerful National Resistance Movement Cadres to come out publicly to endorse the first son Muhoozi Kainerugaba for his 2026 Presidential bid.

The General was on Thursday welcomed by a mammoth crowd of supporters of General Muhoozi in Adjumani as the leaders of MK movement stormed the area to launch the “MK Movement in Madi Subregion”.

While at the venue, the crowds cheerfully in a colorful event declared support for Muhoozi as their Presidential candidate come 2026 so as to oust his father the reigning President of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

Ali was welcomed by various leaders in MK Movement such as Dr Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi the National Vice Chairman for Western Region, Dr Lillian Aber the National Vice Chairperson for Northern Uganda who was the Keynote Speaker , Frank Gashumba the National Vice Chairman for Central Region and Hon Michael Katungi the Commissioner of External Affairs among others.

In response to the endorsement , General Muhoozi said the MK movement acts as the bridge connecting the young people to the elders.

“I thank our senior elder Right Honourable General Moses Ali for being the guest of honour at the launching of the MK Movement in Madi sub-region. The MK Movement is the link between the young, dynamic people in Uganda and their elders”, said Muhoozi.

On his part, Barugahara expressed his profound love to the General and sent him greetings from Adjumani.

“We love You Chairman. Greetings from the People Adjumani,they love You”, said Barugahara in a tweet.

On his part, Gashumba appreciated Gen Moses Ali for representing Muhoozi in Madi for guiding what he described as the patriotic movement.

“There is no doubt that the MK movement will transform this country for the betterment of everyone else living in it”, said Gashumba.

General Moses Ali now joins the rest of NRM senior Cadres who have endorsed the first son for his presidential bid.

In August 2023, Muhoozi who is also the Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations and head of addressed a large rally in Teso which was attended by Speaker of Parliament Anita Among, Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa, and hundreds of legislators, an event where majority of the participants declared their support for his presidential bid.

Muhoozi was equated to the holy Trinity the father ,son and the holy spirit with a better vision for this country and as well today’s generational leader.

The task force put in place to solicit support for Muhoozi has since traversed various parts of the country such as Kabale, Lango , Kampala, Mitooma rallying people to support the UPDF officer for 2026 elections whose Roadmap has already been issued by the Electoral Commission.

Although President Museveni has not yet hinted that he would not be running as the NRM party flag bearer, he recently made a shocking statement which caused uproar when he said “he (Museveni) is somehow linient to the corrupt , but his son has zero tolerance to the same.

The statement was interpreted by majority to be an endorsement for Muhoozi to the topmost office in the country.
