Tik-Toker Granted Bail, Ordered Not to Mention Museveni, Kabaka & Speaker’s Names Again

Buganda Road court has released on bail Ibrahim Musana aka Pressure 24/7 ; a tik-toker who is accused of posting and sharing information that ridicule and promote hostility against the person of the Kabaka and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Anita Annet Among is one of the victims of hate speech.

Prosecution states that between August 2023 and February 2024 in areas of Kampala district, while using a computer via his a tik-tok account , Pressure shared information which is likely to degrade or demean and promote hostility against four leaders including the Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II , president Museveni , Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Annet Anita Among and state minister for ICT Joyce Naboosa Ssebugwawo.

Chief Magistrate Ronald Kayizzi has decided to release Pressure from Luzira prison after the former clocked a mandatory period of 60 days on remand without commencing trial.

Magistrate Kayizzi has ordered Pressure 24/7 to make a cash deposit of 2 million shillings and for his two maternal aunties whom he presented as securities have been to each sign a non-cash bond of 20 million shillings to ensure his return in court for trial.

President Museveni is also a victim.

He has also been given two weeks within which to deposit his passport with court.

The court has further gagged Pressure from uttering abusive words against the Kabaka and other government officials else he risks his bail to be revoked .

He returns to court on May 28th 2024
